Commissions & Portraiture
Years: 2010-present

Throughout her freelance career, Quetzal has photographed portraits of musicians, artists, scientists, academics, authors, actors, protestors, families, and more. Her first publication was with The New York Times Sunday Edition, internationally printed in 2014, featuring her series of portraits and interviews with children of migrants. Children of Migrants is a personal project rooted in her own experience as the child of migrant parents.

Since then, she has worked with a range of clients nationally and internationally. Now, she primarily collaborates with newspapers and charities, often on portrait commissions.

Selected Publications & Clients: Time Magazine, The New York Times, Financial Times, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Amnesty International, NRC Handelsblad, Into Film, British Journal of Photography, BAFTA, BBC, The Guardian, Crónica Global, Comic Relief, Roads and Kingdoms, Condé Nast, Sofar Sounds, Al Dia News, The Line of Best Fit, Adorama, and The Vavengers.
